(Solved) How do i get my game in Fullscreen without black bars ? (2024)

Hyho i wonder how i do i archive that my game is totaly full screen.

I already know that i can change the Screen Resoulutin i did it on 1920x1080 since my monitor has this Resoloution

But my game is super tiny now

How to i get rid of this Black Bars and make my game bigger ?

You could use a smaler Resolution and than press F5 to Zoom it to Fullscreen.
The result should be no Black boarders or atleast very smal ones.

Edit:
Dont forget to use a bigger Game Map that is also filled with something to test higher resolutions.
Else it could give Problems because the standard Map Size becomes to smal after you increased Screensize.

I wish I could read that.

Maybe you have a setting somewhere that is set to that size. Huh, did you start the project on a different PC?

F5 is reload the game. I think you mean f3 and that only works if i increase the zoom value

Yea but the problem with this default setting are black bars left and right. I think there is nothing uglyer than such balck bars (just my viewing) and i wanna realy get rid of them

So change the UI settings to 1920x1080 and see if that works.

Right, change the settings back to the default settings. The reason is that it sees the smaller settings and adjusts the screen size to it, but the window gets larger. I think you want both of those settings to match so when you go to Fullscreen, it adjusts accordingly and doesn't give you those black bars. Change 1920 and 1080 to 816 and 624 or vice versa.

With the stock setting it gos full screen but still with the black bars so i played now a lot with the screen size settings and my best try was this (dont mind the girl it was a Ai Genererated Girl test because i want sprites in the game)

So still black bars but realy tiny once

This did not work it just caused the UI is nearly outside the game xD

This is my settings:
They are the DEFAULT settings. See if there's a difference.

Now my screen opens up in Playtest as a smaller window but goes to Fullscreen with those black Bars as well. Hmm, maybe it's the Screen Scale then.

With the default settings the game has big black bars left and right. I have a MZ game on my hard drive with uses zoom to get perfectly fullscreened i asked in the discord but i dont know if i wil get an answere xD

Well the settings from the game i spoke of does not work for me but maybe they to for you
Screen is 1280x720
Ui is 816x720
Screezoom is 1
In the game i spoke i archive fullscreen with f4 and f3
For my game there are still black bars but maybe for you not ^^

Are you playing on a mobile phone? If yes the black bars top and bottom are added by default. You will need to overwrite them with a plugin.

Nah i play on PC i plan to Release my Game on Windows and Android when i am finished but its a long way to there so firstly i wanna get rid of the black bars on windows first. And than for Android

The Left and Right black boarder seem to be a Mapping Problem or Mapping Size Problem.
Because the Pink Hair is shown on the Black, that means it is NOT a Boarder, but actualy part of the Map that you most likely forgot to Map with Maptile!
The Upper and Lower Boarder are maybe real Boarders, but by increasing the Screen size by just 1 Maptile, 48 Pixels for Y- Axis, it should also disappear.

I can try to add 1 size to the map. Yea the pink hair is on the black bar buts not something i fergot maybe the map is to small in wide sinde on this screen its the whole map wide but for the upper and lower bars the map is continue on the upsite

Edit: It did work now i added two sizes in wide and one size in height to the map
